Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Meritorious CodeCrafters Private Limited (“we,” “our,” “us”) collects through meritorious.global, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We collect as little as we can, and we do not sell it.

Effective date: 13 August 2026

1. Who We Are

Meritorious CodeCrafters Private Limited is a software development and IT consulting company registered in Gujarat, India. Our website address is meritorious.global. For any privacy question, contact us at business@meritorious.global.

2. Information You Give Us

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you enter into it:

  • Your name and email address (required, so we can reply to you).
  • Your phone number (optional).
  • The service you are interested in, and the details of your message.
  • Any file you choose to attach to your enquiry.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs when you visit - including your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested, and the time of the request. We use this to keep the site running, diagnose faults, and detect abuse. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.

We also run our own analytics, on our own servers. We record which pages were viewed, in what order, how far down each page was scrolled, how long was spent on it, and which website or campaign link brought you to us. This information is not linked to your name, email address, or anything else you may have submitted to us. We do not store your IP address or your browser's user-agent string in our analytics records: they are combined with a secret value that changes every day, converted into an irreversible code, and then discarded. Because that secret is destroyed after 48 hours, the code cannot be traced back to you, and your visits on different days cannot be linked to each other. We do not receive or store any information from other websites you visit, and none of our analytics data is shared with any third party. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not record your visit in our analytics at all.

When you open a page that carries an enquiry form, your browser makes one request to api.country.is, an IP address lookup service, so that we can preselect the right international dialling code beside the phone field. That request is made by your browser directly: the service sees your IP address and returns only the two-letter code for your country. We do not send your IP address to it and we do not receive it back. The country code is held in the page's memory for as long as the page is open, and nothing is written to your device. If the request fails, or your browser or an extension blocks it, we fall back to your browser's own language setting instead. You can always pick a different country yourself, and the field works normally either way.

4. Our AI Assistant

Our website offers an AI chat assistant, which you can use by typing or, where your browser supports it, by speaking. Messages you send to it are transmitted to OpenAI in order to produce a response, and are handled under OpenAI's terms for that service. Where that service is unavailable we may instead use Google's Generative AI API, under Google's terms. If you start a voice call with the assistant, your audio is sent to OpenAI to be transcribed and answered; we keep the text transcript, not the audio recording.

We store the conversation - the messages you send and the assistant's replies - so that we can answer any enquiry you raise through it and improve the assistant's accuracy. Our staff may read these conversations for those purposes. Conversations are deleted after 90 days.

Please do not enter passwords, financial details, or other sensitive personal information into the chat. We use the assistant only to answer questions about our services.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above only in order to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible engagement.
  • Provide, maintain, and secure our website and services.
  • Meet our legal and accounting obligations.

6. What We Do Not Do

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.
  • We do not share it with advertisers.
  • We do not use your enquiry to send you marketing you did not ask for.

7. Who We Share It With

We share personal data only with the service providers we need in order to run the site - our hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and the AI providers named above - and only to the extent required for them to perform that service. Separately, as described in section 3, when a page carrying an enquiry form loads, your browser discloses your IP address directly to the dialling-code lookup service; we do not send it to them, and all we receive back is a two-letter country code. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

8. Cookies and Device Storage

Our analytics sets no cookies at all, and stores nothing on your device - no cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no device fingerprint. We use only the cookies strictly necessary to serve the website. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we do not record your visit in our analytics at all.

Two features do keep something in your browser's own storage, and neither is a cookie or a tracking technology. The chat assistant keeps your current conversation in session storage so it survives moving between pages; it is cleared when you close the tab, or immediately if you reset the conversation. If we show you a one-time consultation invitation, we record that you have seen or dismissed it so that we do not show it again. Neither is sent to any other website.

9. How Long We Keep It

We keep contact-form enquiries for as long as needed to deal with your request and to maintain a record of our business correspondence, after which they are deleted. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostics. Chat and voice-assistant conversations, including the message text, are deleted after 90 days. Detailed analytics records are deleted after 90 days; summary visit records are kept for 13 months; and aggregate statistics, which relate to no individual, are kept indefinitely.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to our processing of it. To exercise any of these rights, email business@meritorious.global and we will respond within a reasonable period.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any change takes effect when we post it on this page, and we will update the effective date above.
